The Kendall Church
Until April, 2006, there were three congregations (Laurieton, Bonny Hills and Kendall) which, together, formed the Camden Haven group of congregations, sharing a ministerial placement and co-operating in various other ways. However, following a review during 2005, it was agreed by the three congregations that they would change their structures.
The proposed new structure was approved by the Mid North Coast Presbytery at its meeting on 25th February, 2006, and the new arrangement has been in operation since 1st April, 2006. Kendall is now a congregation in its own right, relating directly to the Presbytery. Laurieton and Bonny Hills are now a single congregation worshipping in two different locations. It, too, relates directly to the Presbytery.
Kendall is a small, quiet village to the west of the village of Kew (on the Pacific Highway) and it is served by St Stephen’s, the local Uniting Church. It is very much a rural area and was formerly a timber-getting area. The Kendall congregation does not have a minister in placement but comes under the general oversight of the Presbytery Officer, Rev. Janet DAWSON. Click on her name to get contact details.
Other officers and contact details within the Congregation at the time of inaugurating the new arrangements were as follows. If changes are to occur, they will be effected on this page when information is received:
- Chairperson of the Congregation:
- Secretary of the Congregation:
- Treasurer of the Congregation:
