The Nabiac Church
Nabiac, for many people, is a brief petrol stop on the Pacific Highway, which passes along the western edge of the town, on the northern bank of the Wallamba River. For many years it has remained a small town with local farming as the main activity. However due to its close proximity to Forster-Tuncurry and to Taree (and the rising property prices in those towns), many are turning their eyes to Nabiac as a place to live. There are plans to develop this area over the next few years, mostly in small acreage blocks.
The local Uniting Church Congregation (situated on Showground Road in Nabiac) is the largest in the township and has some wonderful initiatives, a major one being that it produces the local newspaper. This has grown from a couple of pages to 12-16 double sided A4 pages with a circulation of over 500. This newspaper is produced monthly and has become a major link between community groups.
Church services are held each Sunday at 10:30am with a Family Service on the fourth Sunday of each month. A Sunday School operates on the first and third Sundays of each month.
