Although commonly referred to as “Lay Reps”, the persons listed as such are, rather, full members of Presbytery appointed by their congregations. They do not act as delegates of their congregations but are those appointed by their congregations to exercise wisdom and discretion (under the guidance of the Holy Spirit) as members of the Presbytery. They make up the majority of Presbytery members.
