The Uniting Church in Australia, Mid North Coast Presbytery, is committed to be obedient both to its mission and to the laws of Australia. It therefore seeks to comply with the requirements of the Privacy Act 1988.
The Presbytery collects information (eg., names, postal addresses, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, FAX numbers) in order to publish a Presbytery Directory. The information collected is available both in hard copy and electronically on this Presbytery web site. This publication facilitates the communication of information to members through the appointed representatives of the Presbytery, the congregations within its oversight, and the various councils and committees that are set up to enable the church to fulfil its role and mission in accordance with the Regulations and By-Laws of The Uniting Church in Australia.
All persons whose names are listed in the Presbytery Directory or on the Presbytery web site as at the date of publication of the Directory have been contacted and provided with an opportunity to indicate whether any of the above personal information is not be included, either within the Presbytery Directory or on this Presbytery web site.
The Presbytery believes that it has faithfully fulfilled the instructions of those persons listed in this Presbytery Directory and on this Presbytery web site.
All future upgrades of both the Directory and web site concerning congregational placements, elected and appointed officers, Presbytery representatives and committee convenors or chairpersons are to be provided on the understanding that the information will be published in the Presbytery Directory and on the Presbytery web site.
The Presbytery is committed to using the information provided for the Presbytery Directory and for the Presbytery web site solely for the purposes for which it is provided, but reserves the right to provide names and addresses to other parties where it is believed that the information to be disseminated will be a resource to ministers and/or congregations in the proclamation of the Gospel.
