The Uniting Church in Australia, Mid North Coast Presbytery, is committed to be obedient both to its own mission and the laws of Australia. It seeks therefore to comply with the requirements of the Privacy Act, 1988.
The Presbytery collects information (eg, names, postal addresses, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, facsimile numbers) in order to publish a Presbytery Directory and to publish this Presbytery web site. The information collected is available in each of these media, depending upon the permissions given by the subjects of the information. This publication in each medium facilitates the communication of information to members through the appointed and elected members of the Presbytery, the congregations within its oversight and the various councils and committees that are set up to enable the church to fulfil its role and mission in accordance with the Regulations and By-Laws of the Uniting Church in Australia.
All persons for whom contact information is given in the Presbytery Directory or on this Presbytery web site have indicated whether any of their personal contact information is or is not to be included within the Presbytery Directory or the Presbytery web site. Any persons whose names it is proposed to add, either to the Presbytery Directory or to the Presbytery Web site, will also be provided with such an opportunity. For convenience, a custom-designed Privacy Act Permission Form has been placed on this web site.
The Presbytery believes that it has faithfully fulfilled the instructions of those persons listed in the current Presbytery Directory and on this Presbytery web site. Any errors will be corrected promptly upon the request of the person concerned.
All future upgrades of both the Presbytery Directory and this web site concerning congregational placements, elected and appointed officers, Presbytery representatives and committee conveners or chairpersons are to be provided on the understanding that the information will be published in the Presbytery Directory and on the Presbytery web site.
The Presbytery is committed to using the information provided for the Presbytery Directory and for the Presbytery web site solely for the purpose for which it is provided, but reserves the right to provide names and addresses to other parties where it is believed that the information to be disseminated will be a resource to ministerial agents and/or congregations in the proclamation of the Christian Gospel.
